(Los Angeles, October 9, 2015) – Atlas Distribution and Ketchup Entertainment announced today that the romantic comedy adventure A ROYAL NIGHT OUT has been set to release in New York and Los Angeles on December 4, 2015, with a platform release to follow through December in additional cities.
The movie features an award-winning cast led by Canadian Screen Award-winning actress Sarah Gadon (Dracula Untold, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, A Dangerous Method), Bel Powley (The Diary of a Teenage Girl, Side by Side), two-time Golden Globe Awards nominee Rupert Everett (Stardust, Shrek 2, My Best Friend's Wedding), two-time Academy Award nominee Emily Watson (War Horse, The Theory of Everything, The Book Thief) and Jack Reynor (Transformers: Age of Extinction, Delivery Man). Based on actual events, A ROYAL NIGHT OUT tells the story of one glorious evening in the lives of the Royal Family's princesses. As WWII ends and the King prepares to speak, teenagers Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret long to join the public celebrations throughout London. When their parents finally acquiesce, they soon find themselves in the midst of a night full of excitement, danger and the first flutters of romance.
"A Royal Night Out is an incredibly fun movie that reveals a side of Queen Elizabeth seldom seen. It's a celebration of the Queen's courageous spirit, and we're honored and excited to bring it to America", said Ketchup Entertainment CEO Gareth West.
"It is a perfect end of the year movie that typifies our commitment to bring high quality independent entertainment to audiences in the US" continued Harmon Kaslow, Atlas Distribution Company's President.
A ROYAL NIGHT OUT made its North American Premiere at the 2015 Hampton's International Film Festival and will be showcased at the 2015 Philadelphia Film Festival in October. A ROYAL NIGHT OUT is rated PG-13. For more information about the movie, visit the A Royal Night Out website.
