Teen Musical Dramedy Sings into Theaters
Atlas Distribution Company acquires Drama Drama for Wide Christmas Release
(Los Angeles, Nov 11, 2020) – Atlas Distribution Company announced today that it has acquired rights to Drama Drama. The film is slated for a 1,000 theaters release on December 18, 2020.
Based on the fictionalized back-story of the five girls who comprise the group Drama Drama, comes the perfect teen “coming of age” musical dramedy completely capturing the nuances of High School: teen angst, unrequited love, the mean popular girl, and peer pressure.
Featuring fourteen original songs performed by the quintet of Sydney (Michelle Defraites of "The Quad"), Stella (Amelia Demilo), London (Ana Golja of "Degrassi: Next Class"), Veronica (Carlye Tamaren of “Rock of Ages”) and Mo (Zonta of "Radio Disney Kid Star"), Drama Drama is set to launch an original, character-driven pop group under the same name.

The movie is directed by Martin Guigui, and written by Guigui and Brian Lukow, the co-creator and executive producer of the Billboard Number One selling boy band Dream Street. Drama Drama was produced by Lukow, Elliot Bellen, Brian Lukow, Dan Reardon and Dahlia Waingort.
“The overriding theme of Drama Drama is individuality and anti-bullying. The performers represent a distinct cross section of popular teen personas that celebrate their uniqueness and who effectively address the bullying problem in our high schools," according to Lukow.
“We think Drama Drama will connect with kids on a lot of levels, both in terms of the anti-bullying message as well as through funky pop songs and infectious dance choreography making it destined to become an essential part of pop culture for generations of teens,” continued Lukow.
Drama Drama will be released nationwide on December 18, 2020 and its soundtrack album, consisting of fourteen original songs, will be available on all music streaming services.
